Night Lights. Got some great shots last night of the snow and silent streets in Worcester, MA. I really love what a different world it becomes when it snows, especially at night. The way the lights reflect off the snow, and the way they take in all of the colors of the night — the streetlights and passing cars. The night is more alive than you think.
First of all I'd like to say that I love the lighting you used for this picture. It hits the icy road incredibly well, giving it a wonderful texture. Which leads me to suggesting that a ground shot (laying the camera against the road and taking the picture from there) would have been awesome for this picture. It would have added a lot of impact especially because the road goes off a long ways. There is something about this picture that I am actually torn about whether or not it should be critiqued, and that is the angle at which you took this picture. You aren't standing directly in the middle of the road, but more off to its left side. Although the picture would feel a lot more balanced if you took it from the middle of the road, I kind of like it where it is because it adds to the feeling of hectic disruption due to the snow. Overall, this is a good piece of work you have here and I'm really happy to have added a critique for it. There's a lot to look at in this picture when you take the time to do so!
